SHBBHRS011 Provide Female Intimate Waxing Services delivers the skills and knowledge required to provide waxing services to remove unwanted hair from female intimate areas. This unit will teach you how to consult with clients and create a treatment plan, apply and remove hot and strip wax safely and as discretely as possible.

What you will learn:
Completion of SHBBHRS010 Provide Waxing Services or equivalent must be completed prior to undertaking this unit.
• Client consultation
• Contra-indications to female intimate waxing
• Designing intimate waxing – full, partial or basic shape
• Providing intimate waxing service
• Health, hygiene and safety for therapist and client
• Aftercare advice, treatment and recommendations
• Sustainability in waxing services

On successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment for SHBBHRS011 Provide female intimate waxing services in partial completion of a SHB30121 Certificate III in Beauty Services. This unit can be used as a stepping stone to a beauty therapy qualification.

Part time – 4 weeks on campus (1 day per week)
Approximately 6 additional hours per week is to be completed off-campus to complete prescribed reading of learner guides and workbook activities, and to complete theory assessments consisting of knowledge questions.

Requirements
Completion of SHBBHRS010 Provide Waxing Services or equivalent must be completed prior to undertaking this unit.
SHBBHRS011 Provide female Intimate waxing services can only be completed by persons over the age of 18 years.
Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment: As a requirement of the student entry procedure, students may have to undertake a Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment. This is assessed on a case-by-case scenario.

• WA Academy beauty uniform t-shirt to be worn with black professional pants and black enclosed shoes.
• Student will be required to supply a towelling body wrap and headband.
• General stationary and a padlock for use of the lockers.
• Students are required to supply models for all practical assessments to demonstrate their technical skills.
• The Training Package stipulates that all practical assessments must be performed on a variety of models.
• Models are required to pay the model assessment fee charge as assessments must be performed on paying clients.
