SHB30315 The Certificate III in Nail Technology is a nationally recognised qualification under the Hairdressing and Beauty Services Training package (SHB).

This qualification has been designed for those individuals who wish to be employed as a nail technician to provide manicure and pedicare services, including the application and use of nail art, electric drill, acrylic and gel nail enhancements.. These individuals possess a range of well-developed technical customer and service skills where discretion and judgement is required and are responsible for their own work outputs. This includes client consultations on nail care products and services. Nail technicians may also be self-employed and responsible for managing their own nail station. Work is typically conducted in a nail or beauty salon.

The Certificate III in Nail Technology may also be utilised as a stepping stone to higher qualifications in beauty therapy or related industries.

Course Cost
Payment in Full $2,200: $1,500 deposit on enrolment and balance of $700 to be paid at Week 8 (or halfway point) of the course.

Payment Plan $2,500: $300 deposit on enrolment. Balance paid off via direct deposit for eight fortnightly payments of $275.

Included in cost – full acrylic kit, full gel kit, implement kit, all products, equipment and learners guides required to complete this qualification other than those listed under student requirements below.

Requirements
Log Book Equipment: Students will require a LED Nail Lamp to complete their Log Book as part of their assessment. These are available for purchase at WA Academy if required.

Portfolio: WA Academy utilizes in some units portfolios, assignments and log books to allow formative assessment through the duration of the qualification these are completed outside of class and at the students cost.
Uniform
WA Academy uniform top to be worn with black professional pants and enclosed black shoes.
