CERTIFICATE II SALON ASSISTANT

Salon Owners now have the option of employing Hairdressing Trainees. If you are not ready for another apprentice yet but need some assistance in the salon then a Trainee studying a Certificate II Salon Assistant is ideal.

Traineeships are available to salon owners and the WA Academy can assist you with recruitment, wages information, and incentives for salon owners and the trainee. Trainees employed by salons do not need to attend Academy Training however the WA Academy send out assessors to the salons to assist the salon owner with the progress of the Trainee.

Traineeships can be full or part time with hours to suit the salon. This is an ideal option for that extra pair of hands on the busy days. Trainees learn basin skills, communication, occupational health & safety, in-salon treatments & massage skills, retailing skills, styling hair (blowaving, setting, ironing, basic hair-ups), braiding and colour application.
