This is an excellent course for those aspiring to enter into a hairdressing apprenticeship using this as a stepping stone to full time salon employment. The Certificate II Salon Assistant Qualification is a stand alone qualification that may lead to long term employment in a hair salon as a Salon Assistant.

The Academy will additionally cover areas of grooming, deportment, interviewing skills and employability skills.

Interested persons that do not have access to an Apprenticeship or In-salon Traineeship can complete the Certificate II Salon Assistant on a pay as you go basis and attend the WA Academy to complete their Qualification.

Trainees learn basin skills, communication, occupational health & safety, in-salon treatments & massage skills, retailing skills, styling hair (blowaving, setting, ironing, basic hair ups), braiding and colour application.
