SHB30215 Certificate III in Make-Up
The Certiﬁcate III in Make-up (SHB30215) is a nationally recognised qualiﬁcation under the Hairdressing and Beauty Services Training package (SHB). This qualiﬁcation has been designed for those individuals who wish to be employed as make-up artists to design and apply make-up for a range of purposes and occasions across the beauty, fashion, media and entertainment industries. These individuals possess a range of well-developed skills including working co-operatively with a range of individuals from photographers, fashion stylists and media production staff. Work is typically conducted as a part of a team or on a freelance basis in settings such as make-up studios, retail cosmetic counters, fashion and media sets and photography studios.
|Duration||Enrol in Certiﬁcate III Make-up with no previous make-up qualiﬁcations – 1 day per week or 2 evenings per week for 30 weeks. Enrol in Certiﬁcate III Make-up with a Certiﬁcate II in Retail make-up and skincare or equivalent qualiﬁcation (SIB20110) – 1 day per week or 2 evenings per week for 15 weeks. Enrol in Certiﬁcate III Make-up with a Certiﬁcate II in Retail Cosmetics (SHB20116) – 1 day per week or 2 evenings per week for 21 weeks.|

|Course Cost||Enrol in Certificate III Make-up with no previous make-up qualifications. Payment plan $3,950. $500 deposit on enrolment. Enrol in Certificate III Make-up with a Certificate II in Retail make-up and skincare or equivalent qualification (SIB20110). Payment plan $2,950. $500 deposit on enrolment. Enrol in Certificate III Make-up with a Certificate II in Retail Cosmetics (SHB20116). Payment plan $3,300. $500 deposit on enrolment. Included in cost – all products, equipment, photographic shoots and learners guides required to complete this qualification other than those listed under student requirements below.|

Makeup units: Students are required to supply for hygiene reasons their own mascara and will be supplied mascara wands in class.
Portfolio: WA Academy utilizes in some units portfolios, assignments and log books to allow formative assessment through the duration of the qualiﬁcation. These are completed outside of class and at the student’s cost.
