SHB20216 Certificate II in Salon Assistant – Hairdressing
The Certiﬁcate II in Salon Assistant (SHB20216) is a nationally recognised qualiﬁcation under the Hairdressing and Beauty Services Training package (SHB). This qualiﬁcation has been designed for those individuals who either wish to undertake a hairdressing apprenticeship and utilize the Certiﬁcate II in Salon Assistant qualiﬁcation as a preparation course or those individuals who wish to be employed as a salon assistant in a hair salon.
The skills and knowledge are of a basic nature and all undertaken under supervision, they include selling and demonstrating hairdressing products, shampoo, colour removal, blowdrying hair, greeting and preparing clients, head, neck and shoulder massage, applying hair colour products and braiding hair.
This qualiﬁcation is most often used as a stepping stone to a hairdressing apprenticeship studying Certiﬁcate III in Hairdressing (SHB30416).This is an entry level qualification into the exciting world of hairdressing at WA Academy.
Students are supplied all products, equipment and resources included in the course cost unless detailed below.

|Course Cost||Payment In Full $3,000: $1,500 on enrolment and $1,500 at week 7. Payment Plan $3,300: $500 deposit on enrolment balance $400.00 direct deposit seven fortnightly payments. Included in cost – all products, equipment and learners guides required to complete this qualification other than those listed under student requirements below.|

Students need to purchase from WA Academy prior to course commencement their personal equipment kits that they utilize in class, work experience and home practice $350.
