Dual Qualification SHB20216 & SHB20116 Certificate II in Salon Assistant – Hairdressing & Certificate II in Retail Cosmetics – Make Up
These two qualifications delivered together give any individual interested in a career in hairdressing, make-up, beauty or general retail an amazing head start and two fully accredited Certificate II qualifications. These preparation courses are a great introduction and taster into these fields and can lead to many employment or further study opportunities.
The skills and knowledge are of an introductory level and are all undertaken under supervision including blowdrying, shampooing, makeup application day and evening, selling skills, basin skills, braiding hair and much much more.
This dual qualification can be used as a stepping stone into a hairdressing apprenticeship, retail outlets, makeup counter work or future studies in any of those areas.

|Duration||15 weeks – 4 days per week (Monday-Wednesday Academy and Thursday compulsory work experience day).
45 weeks – 1 day per week option – perfect for school based students.

|Course Cost||Payment In Full $3,000: $1,500 on enrolment and $1,500 at week 7.
Payment Plan $3,300: $500 deposit on enrolment balance $400.00 direct deposit seven fortnightly payments.

Make-up units: Students are required to supply for hygiene reasons their own mascara and will be supplied mascara wands in class.
Portfolio: WA Academy utilises in some units portfolios, assignments and log books to allow formative assessment through the duration of the qualiﬁcation these are completed outside of class and at the students cost.
WA Academy uniform top to be worn with black professional pants and enclosed black shoes.
