The Diploma of Screen and media – specialist make-up services is a nationally recognised qualification under the Creative Arts and Culture Training Package (CUA).
This qualification has been designed for those individuals who wish to be employed in the theatrical creative make-up field with a focus on Cinema graphic and SPX make-up whilst teaching you the ins and outs of special effects make-up. With specialist units focusing on specialised make-up effects, creating prosthetics, and styling hair for performances and productions, you will graduate this course with much more than just a Diploma. Whether you are destined for the hustling back stage of a runway show, magazine or print campaigns, theatre or film, this course will equip you with the skills and expertise to success in the make-up industry.

Makeup units: Students are required to supply for hygiene reasons their own mascara and will be supplied mascara wands in class.
Portfolio: WA Academy utilizes in some units portfolios, assignments and log books to allow formative assessment through the duration of the qualiﬁcation. These are completed outside of class and at the student’s cost.
