BODY SPECIALIST DIPLOMA
This course is designed for the industry professional wanting to embark on a career in the area of Massage and Body Treatments.
It forms 6 months of the 12 month Diploma of Beauty Therapy Qualification or can be studied as a stand-alone course.
The WA Academy has a designated Body Room with a full ensuite Day Spa room; comprising of Vichy Shower, Hydrotherapy spa and shower facilities. This purpose built facility allows therapists to work in a simulated salon environment as if they were working in a full Day Spa Salon.
Full Time Study – 6 months
- This course is offered over 6 months
- Four days per week Tuesday - Friday
- College days start at 9.30am to 4.30pm
- During the course you are required to do client days which are during college hours
Body Specialist Diploma graduates can continue on to add a further 6 months to achieve the highest qualification The Diploma of Beauty Therapy or achieve the Body specialist Diploma in its own right.
The course covers: anatomy & physiology, developing treatments plans, skin science, nutrition, Plan & Provide Massage, Plan & Provide Spa Programs, Aesthetic Aromatic Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Lymphatic Drainage massage to name a few.
